Prime Minister welcomes Wirral voluntary leaders to Number 10 - 10:00 am, Fri 23rd Oct 2009
From left are Sarah Brown, Annette Roberts, Sue Newnes, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Ben Chapman
I recently had the opportunity to take the leaders of two local voluntary organisations to meet the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.
Annette Roberts, who is chief executive of Voluntary and Community Action Wirral, and Sue Newnes, Wirral branch manager of the Alzheimer’s Society, were welcomed by Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah Brown.
I am delighted that Annette and Sue were given this opportunity and that their many years of hard work and dedication to the community have been recognised.
