4th December Re-launch of Bromborough Nursery I was recently invited to the official opening of Busy Bees nursery in Bromborough, after I visited the centre in the summer. The nursery offers a wide range of activities such as cooking demonstrations, Reiki therapy sessions and ‘yoga bugs’ for both children and parents. 4th December 2009 Tour of Wirral Archives On Friday 4th December I visited the Wirral Archives in Birkenhead to see the new facility, which has just celebrated its one year anniversary. I was delighted to welcome the Bebington scouts to Parliament and that they were given the opportunity to attend such a special event, hosted by the Speaker. Mr Chapman met Lee Gibson, The Director of Operations, and Lisa Courtney, the Recruitment & Selection Team Leader, to discuss the opportunities that are provided for young people in the area. Ben Chapman MP has met a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Clinical Nurse Specialists from Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Foundation Trust. The meeting was requested by Mr Chapman following correspondence from Bowel Cancer UK about travel times for patients receiving chemotherapy and their access to local services. As well as managing services from the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology site in Wirral, Merseyside, their doctors and nurses also manage satellite chemotherapy clinics at five other hospitals across the region.
