Tour of Wirral Archives

On Friday 4th December I visited the Wirral Archives in Birkenhead to see the new facility, which has just celebrated its one year anniversary.

The Records Manager, Ava Wieclawska, was kind enough to give me a tour of the site and selected a number of fascinating exhibits for me to see.  The staff at Wirral Archives aim to make sure that our access to information is as wide as possible and I am pleased to support their hard work.

It is important for the heritage of Wirral that we continue to record the present, and preserve the past in order to document our history.  This new facility means there is greater access to research in our region, and the opportunity to reminisce into times gone by.
